Hanoi Starts Construction of Beltway No.4

The Ministry of Traffic and Transportation has just passed the report on 4th ring road construction in Hanoi with the total investments of VND 58,836 billion, in which VND 35,028 billion is for construction. This suburban highway, with design of 6 traffic lanes, expected velocity of 100km/h and length of 98km goes through 13 districts of Hanoi, Hung Yen and Bac Ninh.

According to plan, this 4th belt line road will be constructed in 2011 and expected to be put in use by 2015. However, the Ministry of Traffic and Transportation proposes to assign construction of this highway to the localities where it involved by diversified capital sources in different forms, such as BT (building – transfer) and BOT (building – operation – transfer).
