Hanoi Expo 2010 marks city’s millennial anniversary

A big international fair will be held from August 30 to September 5 at the Vietnam Exhibition and Fair Centre as part of activities celebrating the 1000th anniversary of Thang Long-Hanoi.

The two-part fair will cover some 20,000m2 with about 750 booths representing 300 domestic and foreign businesses in industry, agriculture, construction, trade, and technology.

Section A1 will depict Hanoi’s socio-economic achievements and potential, through many pictures, documents, charts and artifacts. This section will also have 30 pavilions introducing the land, people, culture and potential for economics, investment, trade and tourism of countries such as France, India, South Africa, Denmark, Chile and Cuba.

Meanwhile, Section D will be reserved exclusively for agricultural products, methods and technology. This section is expected to create favourable conditions for agricultural businesses to seek opportunities for trade and market expansion. – VOV
