Hanoi-based trader expands into new markets

The Hanoi Trade Corporation (Hapro) has worked hard to exploit Mexico, Kenya, Uruguay, Brazil and Spain to raise the number of its export markets to 60 countries and territories worldwide.

At an export growth of over 20 percent, Hapro is one of the country’s leading exporters in handicraft, farm and foodstuff products. Its major markets include Europe, Southeast Asia, the Middle East, North Africa, Japan, the Republic of Korea and China.

The corporation has been intensifying trade promotion activities like attending international fairs, strengthening exchanges with foreign partners and Vietnamese trade missions in foreign countries with the aim of earning an export value of US$155 million in 2010, a year-on-year increase of 25 percent.
