Hai Phong 1 thermo power plant to join national grid in Q2

Two generators (No 1 and 2) of Hai Phong 1 thermo power plant are expected to join the national grid in Q2 2011 with an estimated capacity of 1.2 billion kWh, contributing to the national electricity source stability, according to Hai Phong Thermo Power Joint Stock Co.
At present, the company finalized the basic construction, installation, testing and trial run for two generators.

Hai Phong 2 thermo power plant plans to start operations for the third generator in April 2013 and the fourth generator in September 2013.

Once finished, two thermo power plants including Hai Phong 1 and Hai Phong 2 with a total expected capacity of 12,000 MW will provide 7.2 billion kWh of electricity per year for the national grid.  -Vietbiz24
