Gold slips 38m dong/tael

Big companies on Wednesday re-opened after a 4-day holiday and listed gold prices at common 37.85 million dong per tael. But few shops, who pre-holiday had pushed gold to 38 million dong/tael, lowered the price.
Bao Tien Minh Chau in Hanoi had listed gold at the 38.3-million-dong/tael threshold on last weekend. But today (May 4), the enterprise purchased gold at 37.65 million dong and sold at 37.85 million dong per tael, up 50,000 dong and down 100,000 dong respectively against May 3. The gap between purchase and selling prices was narrowed.

At private shops in HCM City, gold was lowered to below 38 million dong/tael, particularly at 37.75 million and 37.85 million dong/tael (buying-selling), decreasing 250,000 dong/tael compared to Tuesday.

Meanwhile, global gold and silver both slipped in the third consecutive day after India suddenly raised basic interest rates and the US dollar price fluctuated. – Vietbiz24
