Gold prices set new record in 2011

On the morning of February 16, gold prices continued the upward trend.

SJC gold was first listed at VND36.45-36.55 million/tael and then at VND36.67-36.77 million/tael and VND36.70-36.80 million/tael by 9.30am.

SJC gold prices were updated at least six times.

On the world market, the price of gold at 5.50am the same day rose to US$1,373.35 per ounce due to the weak value of the US dollar against the Euro.
