Gold prices increase by VND300,000 per tael

The gold prices in the domestic market were traded at VND37.3 million per tael on April 15, up over VND300,000 after the prices in the world’s market has hit a record high.

Early in the morning, SBJ gold bar was listed at VND37.16-37.34 million per tael while gold prices in Bao Tin Minh Chau hovered around VND37.14-37.27 million per tael.

In Hanoi, SJC gold was traded at VND37.16-37.26 million per tale while Thang Long Dragon gold was transacted at VND37.12-37.25 million per tael.

Gold for immediate delivery in the Kitco market increased sharply by US$1,478 per ounce, making the domestic gold prices increase by nearly VND300,000 per tael against the previous day.

During the transaction session, gold prices sometimes amounted to US$1,480 per ounce due to a rise in the crude oil price which surpassed US$108 per barrel. – VOV
