Gold prices approach VND40 million/tael

The domestic price of gold hit VND39.89 million per tael at 3pm on July 25.

In Hanoi, SJC gold was listed at VND39.81-39.89 million/tael and at Bao Tin MInh Chau Company, the prices stood at VND39.77-39.87 million/tael.

SBJ gold at Sacombank was transacted at VND39.79-39.8 million/tael.

The price broke the old record of VND39.72 million/tael set on July 19.

In the Asian market, gold peaked at US$1,624.8 per ounce on the morning of July 25, while the world price of gold is now at US$1,612.5 per ounce. – VOV
