Gold price slips to 36.36m dong/tael

The gold price in the domestic today Wednesday (May 18) dropped 40,000 dong in buying price from late yesterday to stand at 37.36 million dong/tael due to the world gold price declined sharply.

At 9:00 am today morning, the SJC gold price of Saigon Jewellery JSC was listed at 37.27-37.36 million dong per tael (buying-selling prices), down 80,000 dong in buying price and 40,000 dong/tael in selling price.

The gold price of Bao Tin Minh Chau also dropped to 37.26-37.38 million dong per tael, down 30,000-20,000 dong day on day.
The SBJ gold price at Sacombank bank was quoted at 37.27-37.35 million dong per tael, slipping 40,000 in buying price.

The gold price for immediate delivery on Kitco floor is standing at $1,489.7 per ounce.

The interbank forex rate announced by the State Bank of Vietnam (SBV) today is at 20,673 dong/US dollar, remaining unchanged from yesterday.

Accordingly, the ceiling forex rate applying for commercial banks today will be 20,880 dong/US dollar.

The forex rate quoted at SBV is at 20,600-20,880 dong/US dollar and it is commonly at 20,700-20,850 dong/US dollar at commercial banks.

Vietnam Commercial Joint Stock Bank for Foreign Trade (Vietcombank-VCB) today quoted the forex rate at 20,700-20,850 dong/US dollar, remaining unchanged from yesterday.

Meanwhile, Asia Commercial Joint Stock Bank (ACB) listed the forex rate at 20,740-20,880 dong/US dollar, rising 130 dong day on day. Vietnam Export Import Commercial Joint Stock Bank (Eximbankl-EIB) announced its forex rate at 20,650-20,820 dong/US dollar, dropping 30 dong day on day.- DVT
