German Corp funds a wind power project in Soc Trang

German corporation EAB has got the nod from local authorities to invest in implementing the “Wind Power Technology” project in the Vinh Chau district, Soc Trang province.

The project will be carried out by EAB and the Trading Production and Service Joint Stock Company (TRASESCO) next year.

The General Director of EAB, Lietzmann Klaus Deieter said a recent survey on the coastal areas of Soc Trang province shows that the project is feasible. Apart from wind power projects, EAB also plans to develop other projects in other areas in the near future.

Once in operational, the project will contribute to solving energy issues in the locality.

So far, the provincial authorities have allowed investors to invest four wind power projects with total capacity of around 300MW. – VOV
