Fuji Xerox establishes company in Vietnam

Fuji Xerox Vietnam Company Limited, a sales subsidiary of the Fuji Xerox Asia Pacific Pte Ltd, became officially operational in June, aiming at business expansion in the rapidly growing Vietnamese market.

The new company will sells office equipment, as well as provides maintenance and outsourcing services. It is located on the 5th floor of the Fideco Tower, 81-85 Ham Nghi street, Nguyen Thai Binh District, in Ho Chi Minh City.

According to Fuji Xerox Vietnam president Yoshio Hanada, a combination of factors led to the establishment of the new sales company. Vietnam’s accession to the World Trade Organization, together with its implementation of the policy of opening to foreign investment, enabled a market for direct sales and maintenance services, which aim to satisfy demands from customers who now expect even higher value in products and services.

Fuji Xerox currently leads the laser printer market in Vietnam, Hanada added.

Earlier, Fuji Xerox of Singapore mediated the import and sales operations undertaken by authorized dealers in Vietnam, through its representatives in Ho Chi Minh and Hanoi. However, Vietnamese Commercial Law prohibits type of arrangement.

In Vietnam, 28,000 Fuji Xerox laser printers were imported from 2005-2009. Fuji Xerox has 8 distributors and 70 agents nationwide so far.

Fuji Xerox expects to increase its turnover fourfold by 2014.
