Franchise exhibition opens

An exhibition on franchises and international goods was held in Ho Chi Minh City on November 4.

The event was organised by the Vietnam National Trade Fair and Advertising Company (VINEXAD) in coordination with the Republic of Korea (RoK) International Trade Association.

150 businesses from ten countries and territories, including the RoK, Malaysia, the Philippines, Thailand, the US, and Vietnam stocked 270 booths.

With the latest products in outlet design, food and beverages, beauty care, healthcare, fashion, and education.

Coordinated events included a meeting between businesses and 4,000 buyers, a seminar on franchises, and consultancy programmes in law, finance, real estate, and transportation.

Studies indicate that big foreign distribution groups in Vietnam now occupy 5 percent of the total distribution market and this is expected to increase 30 percent by the end of this year. Those distribution groups will drive the integration of foreign companies into Vietnam’s distribution market.
