Electricity supply to remain difficult in Aug
Electricity supply will remain difficulties in August and the electricity system will not be able to supply enough electricity, said Electricity of Vietnam (EVN) on August 5.
The difficulty is mostly blamed on stoppage by plants for repairing and lack of water for operation.
Total output volume in August estimated to gain over 300 million kWh per day, from 15,500 to 15,800 MW. National electricity system will not have any plan to face the lack of electricity in this month, said EVN.
EVN will retain water in hydropower plants’ reservoirs, use maximum coal power, gas turbine, and oil thermal power and buy power from China to guarantee stable electricity supply to manufactures and meet essential demands of people.
