Dragon Capital is planning to raise a fund of about $100 million -$150 million

Dragon Capital is planning to raise a fund of about $100 million -$150 million, the local newswire NDHMoney reported November 15 citing Nguyen Phuong Mai, a senior portfolio expert of the fund as saying on the sidelines of Gateway to Vietnam conference.

Mai sai the new fund will be in form of close-ended one, focusing on private investments like consumption and education as Dragon Capital sees the high growth potential in this sector.

Dragon Capital will also more focus on private investments in 2011, Mai said, adding that “ private companies are growing fast with improving management and they will support the economy development. Vietnam has many small and medium enterprises who have not yet got capital support from foreign investors, therefore, foreign investment will help them growth better”. – Stoxplus.com
