Domestic transportation fees are expected to rise by between 8%-10% as a result of 15% retail fuel prices hike on March 29, the state-run Vietnam News Agency reported on April 1, Đinh Nam Dinh, Vice President of Ho Chi Minh City Goods Transportation Association.

The domestic retail fuel prices have increased by roughly 35% from February 24. Meanwhile, fuel cost contributed between 45%-50% of the transportation cost, Dinh said.

Taxi and passenger car services firms are also believed to consider a fee increase in the coming time.

The previous fuel price hike of nearly 17% led to transportation fees rise between 15%-20% . – Stoxplus.com
