Domestic gold prices back to VND38 million/tael

The price of SJC gold in Hanoi at 9.30am on June 10 stood at VND37.91-38 million/tael.

Meanwhile, gold prices in Ho Chi Minh City, Danang, Nha Trang and Can Tho were listed at VND37.91-37.98 million/tael.

Gold prices in the Asian market on June 10 increased to US$1,543-1,544 per ounce.

In New York market on June 9, gold prices rose sharply from US$1,536 per ounce to US$1,545 per ounce.

The increase in gold prices was attributed to the rising prices of crude oil and cereals and low interest rates of the US dollar in transaction.

The same day, the inter-bank exchange rate was fixed at VND20,623 per US dollar by the State Bank of Vietnam. – VOV
