Dien Quang brings Vietnamese brand to international market
Vietnam Economic News’ Huong Giang spoke with Mr. Ho Quynh Hung, the Chairman of the Board at the Dien Quang Joint Stock Company.
How do you care about the production capacity enhancement, quality control and consumer market diversification?
Enhancement of production capacity and quality control is the recipe for a sustainable development of Dien Quang in the domestic market and export market. With its vision “Where there is electricity, there is Dien Quang,” the company has identified the strategic development of Dien Quang associated with the diversification of products and markets, with core competitiveness in the lighting and electrical equipment industry, with the trend of development and product positioning, and environmental friendliness. To do this, right from 1995 the company has applied ISO 9002 and up to now it has updated the system three times to meet the ISO 9001-2008 standards to ensure product quality in both domestic and export markets. Dien Quang products have grown steadily in demanding markets such as Europe, Central and South America. The company products entirely satisfy the Acceptable Quality Level (AQL) standards. Another very important issue is the energy conservation program. It can be said that Dien Quang is currently a leading enterprise of the lighting sector which actively participates in energy efficiency programs of the Ministry of Industry and Trade under the Decree 79 and 80 of the Prime Minister.
With these efforts, Dien Quang is proud to be continuously honored as one of 43 enterprises selected as partners participating in national brand program of the Vietnamese Government. The event of being honored in 2010 national brand program is not only the pride, belief in the core values that Dien Quang has built and developed over many generations but also the assertion of the right direction of Dien Quang on the way of development and integration.
What is the company strategy for future development?
With a long-standing tradition in manufacturing lighting products, the Dien Quang Lamp Joint Stock Company is set to continuously expand cooperation and business, cooperate with foreign partners to acquire new technologies and raise the production capacity to meet the growing demand for energy efficient products in the domestic and export market. With these backgrounds, in 2010 Dien Quang plans to speed up the brand development with the motto: “Quality – Efficiency – International Integration” in the domestic and international market, striving to achieve revenue of VND868 billion (including export turnover of US$10,200,000). Especially Dien Quang attempts to ensure the progress of promoting the brand and exporting production technology to Venezuela.
It can be said that in the course of development, Dien Quang has built a professional working environment, harmoniously combining Dien Quang traditional culture nurtured over many generations with scientific management process, applying technological achievements into management. All things are done for the purpose of attracting talented people to team up to turn Dien Quang into a strong and stable economic unit, making Dien Quang products and services a prideful Vietnamese brand of the Vietnamese people on the way of integration. Dien Quang seeks to become not only a leading brand in Vietnam but also an international brand.
