DAP fertiliser plant exploits only 30pct designed capacity
Dinh Vu Industrial Zone – located DAP fertiliser plant (belongs to Vietnam Chemical Corporation) produced nearly 76,000 tonnes of fertilizer in first seven months of this year, gained 514 billion dong in revenue with designed capicity of 330,000 tonnes per year. As the growth, the plant only produced 150.000 tonnes in 2010, about 30 percent of output volume with 1.2 trillion dong in revenue.
Although putting into operation and had the first product at the end of April 2009, the plant, an important one in Hai Phong city, still manufactured at indifferent level. As known, if developing this year’s designed capacity (330,000 tonnes per year) the plant will supply about 30 percent local demand, decreasing fairly imported fertilizer at present. Therefore, the city needs seek solutions to improve its capacity, be active on materials for manufacture and notices on regulations of environment protection.
