Danang stops unlicensed tourism project

Danang City People’s Committee Thursday decided the cancellation of the unlicensed tourism project by VTI Group in Cam Le District.

Under the local government licensed certificate, the VTI Group will use a 81.2 hectare land on Phuoc Tuong mountain for tree cultivation.

The company has developed wooden houses, lighting system and other facilities without the approval from the city authorities.

The Danang city government has opened investigation into the case and figured out the company’s illegal land use.

VTI, established in 2006 in Hai Chau District, operates in many fields.

It has sought for approval from the city government to carry out the project and yet to get a nod due to environment and landscaping concerns. – Tuoitre
