Dak Lak Power to invest $8.7m in electricity upgrade
The Dak Lak Power Company will invest more than VND165 billion (US$8.7 million) to upgrade an electricity network that had been managed by rural co-operatives.
The move would ensure an adequate power supply for households, increase the safety of the electricity system and raise the quality of electrical energy.
The project includes the upgrade of 500km of low-voltage lines, 30km of electrical medium-voltage lines and 60 transformer stations in rural areas.
Around 30 co-operatives have transferred their electric networks to Dak Lak Power Company, following a two-year programme that ordered rural co-operatives to transfer their electric networks to the power company.
It is expected that all electric networks managed by co-operatives will be transferred to the company by the end of this year. — VNS
