Construction on Nhon-Hanoi Station urban railway project starts

Prime minister Nguyen Tan Dung officially announced to kick off the construction works on Nhon-Hanoi Station urban railway project on Sep 25, 2010. The management board of Hanoi Urban Railway Project was the main investor for this project.

This project is considered the largest public transportation project in Hanoi so far with total length of 12.5 kilometres. The total investment capital for this project was posted at 18.408 trillion dong, equal to 783 million euro, in which ODA loans offered by French government counted for 283 million euro, and the rest 503 million euro was expected to lend from Europe Investment Development Bank (EIB) and Hanoi’s state budget. – TBKTVN
