Construction on Hung Loi hydropower project officially starts

The construction on Hung Loi hydropower plant was officially started on October 3, 2010 in Hung Loi Commune, Yen Son Dist, Tuyen Quang province.

The hydropower plant has designed capacity of 19 MW, using the hydraulic power in Pho Day River. There will be two hydropower plants of Hung Loi 1 and Hung Loi 2 to be built on this river.

The two projects was parts of the general power plan No 4 that has been approved by the prime minister, playing an important part in economic development progress in Yen Son Commune, meeting the power demands for key economic sectors, and helping reduce the power shortage nationwide.
