Construction firm gains Q4 profit of 4b dong

The Transport Engineering Construction and Business Investment Joint Stock Co No 584 (coded NTB) announced to gain Q4 profit of 4 billion dong, dropping by 95 percent against the same period of 2009. Accumulatively, the company posted whole year profit of 57 billion dong, down 27 percent, equivalent to EPS of 1,706 dong.

In details, the company estimated to reach Q4 revenue of 92 billion dong, a decline of 57 percent year-on-year. However, the accumulative revenue in 2010 increased by 73 percent against that of last year to 374 billion dong.

According to the company’s explanation, in Oct-December period, the company suffered loss of 3 billion dong in other business activities, in comparison to profit in Q4 of 2009 of 105 billion dong thanks to profit from transferring the land plot in Ward 6, Go Vap Dist, HCM City.

In the last quarter of 2010, NTB reported gaining only 4 billion dong in after tax profit, down 95 percent year-on-year. The whole year profit was posted at 57 billion dong, fulfilling 37 percent of the year plan, and equalling to EPS of 1,706 dong.
