Completion of 500kV Pleiku-Cau Bong transmission line project by 2013

In order to realise the plan of completing the 500KV transmission line project from Pleiku to Cau Bong in 2013, Hoang Trung Hai, deputy prime minister, has lately sent the documents to the people’s committees of the concerning cities and provinces, in which the government asked the local functional authorities to create favourable conditions for the project’s investors in such sectors of compensation, ground clearance etc.

Accordingly, the chair of HCM City People’s Committee as well as the leaders in other provinces including Gia Lai, Dak Lak, Dak Nong, Binh Phuoc and Binh Duong will have to finish the procedures for granting the construction licence, approval for compensation costs etc relating to the project.

The State Bank of Vietnam has assigned Vietinbank as the major bank to arrange capital for the project under the prime minister’s guidance.

EVN Group has been appointed to cooperate with World Bank (WB) and Asian Development Bank (ADB) to work out the details about capital source, implementation process and payment methods for carrying out the project.
