Coca-Cola to invest additional $200m in Vietnam

Malcolm Gibbons, general director of Coca-Cola Vietnam Beverage Co, Coca-Cola product bottler unit, said that his firm has already invested over $280 million during past 10 years in Vietnam and plans to continue to invest additional $200 million by 2013.

He stressed: “Vietnam is a very important growth market to the Coca-Cola Co.”

Currently, Coca-Cola has three plants in HCM City, Hanoi and Da Nang with about 1,600 staff.

In 2010, Coca-Cola Vietnam gained over 26 percent growth and Vietnamese consumers used more than 900 million products of Coca-Cola. To the end of 2013, the company expects to introduce five more new drinks to the market. – Vietnam+
