Citibank Vietnam joins VNBC card network

Citibank Vietnam has become a member of the Vietnam Bank Card network (VNBC) after signing an agreement with ViNa Brilliant Card Company as the network operator, the bank said on Monday.

This partnership will allow Citibank Vietnam customers to access their accounts and banking services free of charge at 1,800 VNBC member banks’ ATMs nationwide, in addition to Citibank’s more than 30,000 ATMs worldwide. The services will include cash withdrawals and balance inquiries.

Citibank Vietnam will pay the fee of all transactions for its retail deposit customers for an initial period.

“The partnership underlines our commitment to build a world-class consumer franchise in Vietnam where we will not only look at bringing innovative products and services but also the right partnerships that will bring value added services and convenience to our customers,” Brett Krause, Citibank country officer in Vietnam, said in a statement.

VNBC member banks include DongA Bank which sets up the network, ANZ Bank, Commonwealth Bank, GP Bank, HabuBank, Mekong Housing Bank, and Saigon Bank. – SGT
