Cement output touches 4.41 million tonnes in June
Statistics from Ministry of Construction showed that the cement producers in June 2010 have reached the output of 4.41 million tonnes, raising the accumulative production volume in the first half of the year to 24.92 million tonnes, fulfilling 49.8 percent of the year plan.
Meanwhile, the country’s total cement consumption volume in June achieved 4.32 million tonnes, while the H1 progressive volume was 24.49 million tonnes, equal to 49 percent of the year plan. The cement price stayed at stable level, in general.
This year, ministry of construction estimated the total demands for cement nationwide of 50-51.5 million tonnes, up 11 percent against that of 2009.
The ministry also guided and set production targets for the cement producers including Vietnam Cement Industry Corp of 18-18.5 million tonnes, joint ventures of 15-15.5 million tonnes and local cement plants of 17-17.5 million tonnes.
