Carrick Gold broad gold hits including 32m at 2.87g/t at Kurnalpi near Kalgoorlie
Carrick Gold’s (ASX: CRK) latest results from Kurnalpi provide the company with added confidence for the upcoming reserve estimates.
The highlight was 14 metres at 4.85 grams per tonne (g/t) gold, which included the bonanza grade one metre intersection of above 30g/t gold.
Kurnalpi is also providing Carrick with some much broader intersections, including 34 metres at 2.87g/t gold, which importantly included multiple higher grade intercepts exceeding 5g/t gold.
Kurnalpi is strategically located in the Kalgoorlie goldfields of Western Australia, and comprises six deposits.
The largest deposit known as Brilliant will be the focus of the company’s next round of drilling for 12,000 metres, which builds on the total of 157,000 metres of drilling conducted at Kurnalpi previously over the 2.5 kilometre mineralised strike.
Approval has also been received for additional drilling at the nearby Sparkle and Dazzle deposits.
In total the company’s tenements cover 450 square kilometres, with the wholly owned flagship LKK Project containing multiple deposits.
Carrick is targeting gold reserves by the end of 2011, and is very well funded with $20 million in cash and no debt. – Source: http://www.proactiveinvestors.com.au
