Carbon filters set to cut CO2 emissions
PetroVietnam Fertiliser and Chemicals Company put into operation a system of filters to collect carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions from the Phu My Fertilizer Plant on Tuesday.
The US$27 million system was designed to help raise current productivity by 60,000 tonnes of urea per year and reduce CO2 emissions to protect the environment.
With the new system, the plant’s capacity will reach 800,000 tonnes per year, increasing the amount of fertiliser available to the local market.
