Business delegation visits India

A delegation of Vietnamese business executives began yesterday a five-day trip to two major cities in India to explore investment and trade opportunities.

The visitors will take part in a trade and investment workshop each in the Indian business hub Mumbai and Pune which will be attended by between 150 to 200 Indian businesses.

At the Mumbai workshop, representatives of the Vietnamese consulate in the city and the Ha Noi-based Centre for Foreign Investment Studies (CFIS) will talk about Viet Nam’s investment and trade policies.

The CFIS said India was a promising investment destination in sectors like IT, bio-technology, pharmaceuticals, high-end furniture, tourism, and others.
