Robert Bosch Vietnam Co., Ltd, subsidiary of German-based Bosch Group, plans to build a $55-million auto component production plant in Vietnam’s southern province of Dong Nai late this year.
Located in Long Thanh industrial park, the plant will specialize in manufacturing spare parts for Continuous Variable Transmission (CVT).
The subsidiary also plans to set up a software and technology center in Ho Chi Minh City in the third quarter of the year, proving its commitment for long-term investments in the Southeast Asian market.
Bosch Vietnam, which engages in the automotive aftermarket, drive and control technology, gasoline systems, power tools and security systems, earned revenues of EUR34.6 million last year.
