Binh Duong set for three new roads

The Investment and Industrial Development Corporation began the construction of three major roads in the southern province of Binh Duong last Wednesday.

Provincial roads DT746, 747B and 742 will totally cost VND4 trillion (US$210.5 million) and connect Tan Uyen District with major roads including Highway No 14 and 13.

They will have six lanes and stretch a total of 57km.

Becamex IDC, as the company is called, will complete the 18-km DT746 road in three years at a cost of VND1.1 billion ($57,600).

DT747B and DT742 will together cost another VND600 billion ($31,000) and take two years to build. All the three will be built under the build-operate-transfer form.

Acquiring and clearing land for the construction will cost a further VND2.3 trillion ($120 million) and this will be sourced from the province budget. — VNS
