BIC reports earning pre-tax profit of26.762b dong in first four months

Bidv Insurance Co (BIC) has announced that it reached Jan-April revenue of 173.115 billion dong, an increase of 25 percent against the same period of last year, pre-tax profit of 26.762 billion dong, up 102 percent year-on-year or equal to 36 percent of the year plan. In details, the insurer reported gaining total insurance premium of 130.964 billion dong, jumping by 62 percent against the first four months of last year, and total assets value of over 3.04 trillion dong, ownership capital of 538.864 billion dong and standby fund of 183.5 billion dong.

BIC has recently introduced the new insurance package for apartments since April 2010 that have received positive feedback from the market and customers. In May 2010, the insurance provider planned to launch the new insurance trading channel via ATM network for those products of insurance for motored vehicles, car insurance at about 1,000 ATM units nationwide.
