BIC offers compulsory vehicle insurance via SMS

Bidv Insurance Co (BIC) has launched new services of selling compulsory insurance products for vehicle owners via sending SMS on cell phones, resulting from cooperation relation between BIC with Vietnam Payment Solutions Joint Stock Co (VnPay) in order to create more favourable conditions for insurance purchasers and expand the two parties’ customers.

In details, instead of contacting insurance agents for purchasing insurance products, the customers can type and send messages on cell phones for buying vehicle insurance products. This new product helps streamline the procedures, save time and money for the insurance purchasers.

The customers can make order to purchase insurance for their vehicles by typing the information about their individual mobile phone number, their selection for insurance products and sending to operator at No 8049 to realise their buying orders. Within 24 hours, BIC will contact with the purchasers to confirm the information and send the insurance certificate to the customers.

The service users are required to have a bank account at BIDV and register for using VnTopup payment services via SMS.
