Bao Minh Insurer gains Q1 profit after tax of 87b dong
Bao Minh Insurance Joint Stock Corp (coded BMI) announced to gain total profit after tax in the first three months of this year of 87 billion dong. In details, the company reported earning total insurance premium in Jan-March of 700 billion dong, fulfilling over 30 percent of the year plan, while the Q1 revenue from financial activities was estimated at over 100 billion dong.
In the latest annual shareholders meeting, the participants have already approved the 2010 business plan with targeted revenue of 2.33 trillion dong, up 5 percent year-on-year, in which revenue from insurance premium of 1.9 trillion dong, increasing by 4 percent against 2009, from reinsurance of 160 billion dong and from financial services of 270 billion dong. The company expected to earn total pre-tax profit of 190 billion dong this year, a year-on-year increase of 10 percent.
