Argentinean businesses focus on Vietnamese market

The Vietnamese embassy in Argentina held a meeting on August 24 with Argentinean businesses who are keen to widen their business operations and seek partners in Vietnam.

Present were about 60 Argentinean businesses involved in such fields as minerals, tourism, law consultancy, transport, wine, electronics, seafood, fruit, rubber, handicrafts and machinery.

In his speech, the Vietnamese Ambassador to Argentina, Nguyen Van Dao, said he is eager to assist Argentinean businesses to find partners and learn about Vietnam’s import-export policy and plans.

Over the last 15 years, two-way trade between Vietnam and Argentina has constantly increased, reaching US$653.2 million in 2009.

Vietnam mainly imports cattle feed, fruit, seafood, wine, leather, wood, chemicals and pharmaceutical products from Argentina and exports footwear, rubber, garments, agricultural products, mechanical products, arts and handicrafts, wood, sports equipment and plastics products to the country. – VOV
