Argentina, VN share experiences in trade negotiations

Vietnam wants to boost cooperation with Argentina in multilateral economic forums, Deputy Foreign Minister Doan Xuan Hung has said.

Hung, who led a delegation of the Committee for International Economic Cooperation made the statement at a working session with Argentina trade officials during his visit to the country from March 21-24.

Hung said he was delighted at outstanding achievements in bilateral trade that surpassed US$850 million last year as well as the development in bilateral relations in the fields of politics, foreign affairs and culture.

Argentinian trade experts shared their experiences in negotiations within the World Trade Organisation (WTO) in the fields of agriculture and service, emphasizing their stance on protecting interests of developing countries towards a fair trade for all nations.

Additionally, experts from the two countries exchanged experiences in dealing with disputes at WTO, global preferential trade system and regional link development of the Southern Common Market (MERCOSUR). – VOV
