Another 700,000 tonnes of rice to be exported under contracts

The Vietnam Food Association is adjusting the price of rice for export to encourage businesses to sell rice in storage and make room for the summer-autumn rice harvest.

Pham Van Bay, Vice Head of the association, said that businesses signed a number of contracts in April to export another 700,000 tonnes of rice, raising the total rice exports to four million tonnes.
