AirMekong wants to sell 30pct stake

The private airlines, AirMekong, is proposing the Vietnamese government to hike its chartered capital via selling 30 percent stake to the US investor, Skywest.

AirMekong has reached an agreement of transferring over eight million common shares, equalling to 30 percent stake to this foreign investor. The transference aims to solve the immediate difficulties for pilots, technicians, technology, aircraft maintenance and human resource development through technology transfer. The two signatories have no commitment regarding the symbol change, the key positions in the organisation and administration of AirMekong.

AirMekong, the Vietnam’s single private airlines, is operating with four Bombardier CRJ900 aircrafts and 14 domestic routes. From April 2011, the carrier will provide more Hanoi-Phu Quoc non-stop flights.
