5.92 million tonnes of oil equivalent exploited in first quarter

The total output of oil equivalent exploited by the Vietnam National Oil and Gas Group (Petrovietnam) has reached 5.92 million tonnes including 3.59 million tonnes of crude oil and 2.33 billion of cubic metres of gas in the first quarter, as much as 20% of the year’s plan.

This is announced at a press briefing held by the Petrovietnam yesterday.

According to the Petrovietnam’s report, in the reviewed period, its power plants supplied 2.98 billion of kWh of electricity while the Dung Quat Oil Refinery produced nearly 980,000 tonnes of assorted oil and gas.

Its total turnover attained over VND 94 trillion in the first quarter, a 33% rise against the set target and a year-on-year 7% increase, as much as 26% of the whole country’s gross domestic product (GDP), said the report.

Also according to the report, the group contributed over VND 27 trillion to the State budget in the first three months of the year, a 26% hike against the set target and a year-on-year 35% rise, as much as 29.75% of the total State budget revenue.
