5.5tr dong flyover for Hanoi

Thang Long Project Management Board, under Ministry of Transport was the main investor of the first flyover project in Hanoi. This is one part of the third ring road system project – the second phase with total investment capital of 5.5 trillion dong, mainly financed by Japan International Cooperation Agency (Jica).

The third ring road – the second phase is 8.9 km long from North of Linh Dam to Mai Dich and 28m wide. This road system has expressway standard and the average height above the ground is 8m.

Under the schedule, the construction will last for 30 months.

There are three bidding packages in the third ring road project. The first to be constructed was package number 3 (with the length of 3.3 km from Thanh Xuan to Dai Tu) under the partnership of Thang Long Construction Corporation, Civil Engineering Construction Corporation No 4 and Civil Engineering Construction Corporation No. 8.

Other two packages are package number 1 from Mai Dich to Trung Hoa (to be constructed in late 2010) and package number 2 from Trung Hoa to Thanh Xuan.
