$105m invested in hydropower in Laos

A memorandum of understanding (MoU) to build feasible study and develop Nam Mo 1 hydropower project was signed by International EVN Joint Stock Co’s general director, Nguyen Thanh Huan, and Laos deputy minister of planning and investment, Thongmi Vongvisay in Vientiane, Laos on March 4.

The Nam Mo 1 hydropower project with total investment capital of $105 million and an estimated capacity of 62 MW will be built in Xieng Khuang province.

As signed MoU, the project is expected to be finished after 18 months of construction.
