1.24 trillion dong to build specialised cement port in central

People’s Committee of Thua Thien Hue province has recently granted investment license for International Transport Development and Investment Joint Stock Co to invest 1.24 trillion dong in building Dong Lam specialised cement port in My Hoa hamlet, Dien Loc commune, Phong Dien district, in the central province of Thua Thien Hue.

The 110 hectare project including five hectares for logistics area will have a lifespan of 50 years as of being licensed.
Once in operational, the port will be able receive cargo ships with the tonnage of 20,000 dwt for commodities such as cement, clinker, coal and materials for Dong Lam cement plant.

The first phase of the project is expected to finish in 2013 and meet two million tonnes of goods a year.

The second one is planned to complete in 2017 and meet about four million tonnes of cargos a year. – VNA
