Vietnam’s rubber exports will grow 22.3% on-year to US$1.5 billion this year thanks to high global demand on the economy recovery, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development’s Statistics and Informatics Center predicted.
Increased demand for natural rubber from such major importers as China, India and Malaysia, will push up prices by 30% this year, contributing to the soar of Vietnam’s export revenues.
Earlier, the Ministry of Industry and Trade forecast that Vietnam’s total rubber latex output will 7% to 770,000 tons this year.
The country will export 750,000 tons, up 3.2% while importing 130,000 tons, down 10% on year, the ministry added. (Vietnam Economic Times)
