Textile exports to US see 20 per cent rise

Viet Nam earned US$2.75 billion in textile exports to the US in the first half of the year, an increase of 20 per cent over the same period last year, according to the Viet Nam Textile and Apparel Association (Vitas).

In June alone, the country’s textile exports to the US reached $550 million.

The export price for a number of textile products has recently increased 10 to 15 per cent over the same period last year.

In 2010, Viet Nam plans to earn $10.5 billion in textile exports.
