Over $1.2b invested in Chu Lai EZ

Quang Nam province’s Chu Lai Open Economic Zone Management Board reported that there were eight projects licensed to invest in the EZ with total registered capital of $274 million during the first five months of 2010.

The projects include work on Tam Hiep logistic and port area, Truong Hai passenger car manufacturing factory and Minh Duong Chu Lai wood processing plant.

Now total $1.2 billion in 60 projects have been licensed in Chu Lai EZ. Of which 35 projects are operational with nearly $500 million of registered capital, creating jobs for 8,500 workers.
