Locally-made goods sell well in rural areas

So far, 43 market days for Vietnamese goods have taken place in rural areas of 16 cities and provinces across the country.

These market-days together with activities to support the consumption of agricultural products are an initiative from the Business Research and Support Centre to respond to the “Vietnamese buy Vietnamese goods” campaign.

Over 540,000 rural people have visited these market sessions, bringing in more than VND25 billion to businesses.

During their trips, businesses had the opportunity to refurbish their representative offices and showrooms, expand their distribution networks and support sales.

As a result, businesses signed over 200 contracts with local distributors and established many new relationships.

The organising board also provided 33 training courses on selling skills for 1,780 small traders, 79,000 books for shopkeepers and organised free check-ups for farmers.
