Singapore Cruise Centre (SCC) has signed a memorandum of understanding with Vietnam’s Danang Port Holding.
Under the deal, SCC will provide knowledge and expertise to help improve Port Danang’s operational processes, marketing as well as infrastructure standards and capabilities.
Danang is seeking to develop into an international cruise hub, and hoping to tap into the growing demand from the cruise industry in Southeast Asia and North Asia.
According to trade promotion agency IE Singapore, the partnership could lead to new waterfront development opportunities for companies in hospitality and services from both Singapore and Vietnam.
The signing of the MOU was witnessed by Singapore’s Minister for Trade and Industry Lim Hng Kiang, and Vietnam’s Minister for Planning and Investment Vo Hong Phuc.
