Both bourses continue going up on Mar 9

Closing the trading session today March 9, thanks to the strong increase of demand power, both indexes VN Index and HNX Index continued increasing tendency.

The southern bourse today saw the fifth consecutive gain as the VN Index bounced 6.15 points or 1.18 percent to 527.27 pts with the total matching order trade of 60.44 million shares valued at 2.605 trillion dong, increasing 14 percent in volume and 17 percent in value against the previous session.

According to the statistic, amongst 213 share codes and fund certificates on the southern floor, the market recorded 139 shares increased while 35 others decreased and 40 remaining shares stood still at the reference price.

Many key stocks gained points such as STB +100 dong to 24,000 dong per share, VCB +1,100 to 48,000, CTG +600 to 32,000, SSI +500 to 92,500, BVH +2,000 to 45,500, PVD +500 to 62,000 and VNM +2,500 dong per share.

Meanwhile, some others decreased like KBC, PVF, REE, SJS and VPL and remaining key stocks remained unchanged including EIB, GMD, HAG and HPG.

In terms of trading volume, STB led the market with over 2.6 million shares, and then GMD over 2.2 million, SSI over 1.8 million, CII over 1.7 million, PET over 1.6 million, and EIB with over 1.5 million shares being traded.

Like the southern floor, the HNX also jumped 1.47 points or 0.86 percent to 172.7 pts with the total market trade of 33.19 million shares worth 1.142 trillion dong, bringing a day on day gain of 15 percent in volume and 22 percent in value.
