Agribank opens new branch in Cambodia

The Bank of Agriculture and Rural Development of Vietnam (Agribank) officially inaugurated the first branch in Phnom Penh, Cambodia on June 28, 2010.

This event was considered as the important milestone marking the bank’s business expansion outside Vietnam. Nguyen The Binh, Agribank’s chair of management board said that in the past few years, the Vietnam-Cambodia bilateral trade increased sharply with average growth rate of over 30 percent per year. In the first five months of this year, the two countries’ trade value reached about $1 billion.
